IMHO the majority of risk has only ever been political, not geographical, this is definately not a typical wildcat drill, plenty of old data, complimented with new, to ensure the 1st hole hits the sweet spot. And I do believe AOI have not initially gone after the biggest drill targets, drill locations have been ideally chosen to enhance initial success, but yes as with all drills, the risk is there.
And lets not kid ourselves, the political risk remains and will for the forseeable future, but that wont stop the drill bit hitting the ground if conditions are right.
Also it has never been the plan, for RRS/AOI to get the oil to market, upon a successfull drilling campaign, I believe both AOI,RRS,RMP will all look to offload Puntland interest to a major, to proceed with development.
