Miss Africa dream burns bright
Two days after 500 "happy" people watched Sudan-born beauty Emmanuella Ayang, 19, crowned at the pageant, a street fight involving African men from interstate who attended the event dimmed the glow of a positive cultural celebration.
Police have charged a Victorian man, 20, a Kilburn man, 19, a Victorian man, 21, and a West Australian man, 22, over the brawl.
Adau, who conceived the pageant and uses her own funds to make it happen, says she won't allow the squabbles of a few angry men to wound her dream of bringing together the African community in South Australia. The busy professional model wants to expand her dream so the African-Australians find their rightful place in the wider community.

Imagine holding a beauty pageant open to whites only. Interesting handle on those present....African-Australians. What about Australian-Africans.
