London Mining PLC is developing a first-phase project to produce 1.5 million tons of iron ore a year, and hopes it will be completed by the end of 2011. From an earlier article, LMP are going to export ore via barges on a local river bypassing the infrastructure held by Marampa - rail/port. To date no mention has been made, to my knowledge, of African Minerals utilising the rail and port facilities of Marampa. This is a critical factor in the value of Marampa. A decision by AM as to whether they extend the line and refurbish the facilities should be imminent in view of the latest developments with the Chinese.
