Malcolm, I understand AP were confident they could swing another time extension. I guess their confidence was misplaced. Or perhaps the govt is just giving them a bit of a slap to show they're getting tied of the delays and will have a change of heart in exchange for a firm drill date range? I too was looking forward to AP doing some de-risking for us so hope they can engineer a change of heart.

On a related note, apparently Conoco Philips and Cairn are very excited and enthusiastic about Senegal. As am I. Let's hope we get a good clean drill with no delays/breakages/failed BOPs/typhoons/pirates and the rest.
