In an article on ABC News today it was reported, "After-hours doctors are worried over rumoured cuts to their service in the May federal budget, saying the cuts would leave hospitals to pick up the slack."
Resapp would be extremely useful in light of these possible cut backs to GP home services to diagnose a child's cough when worried parents of children are woken by distressing coughs such as croup and breathing difficulties in the middle of the night. They could then be advised by phone whether it is an emergency needing hospitalisation or not. The recent thunder storm asthma attacked many children who had never shown asthmatic tendencies before. Three children in my extended family were affected by thunderstorm asthma and had to wait until the next day to see a doctor.
