What you have said makes a lot if sense and gives a good balance.
I can't help thinking, however, that such a lot of time and energy is spent trying to read between the lines. I realise there are shareholders who are constantly doing their research, including making direct contact with the company seeking clarification to issues of concern.
Never-the-less un-solicited and regular communication from the company could result in improved wide-spread understanding and reduce the need for so much analysis and double guessing.
