    From those concluding paragraphs:

"Finally, real Islam stipulates that there is no compulsion in faith or religion and that whoever wants to believe can do so and whoever does not want to, can do so...In Islam, aggression is strictly forbidden against anyone (whether Muslim, Christian, Jew, Atheist or any other) and for any reason."

There is the problem right there.  Will real Islam please stand up?  There are such wildly different opinions by people purporting to be Islamic religious experts about what "real Islam" is and stipulates at its core.

For starters, the article was written by a Shiite and there is a very clear undertone against the general Sunni belief.

Estimates are that 90+% of Muslims in the world are Sunni, so that Shiite opinion piece is clearly not going to be agreed with by the majority.

The article was correct in that opinions do vary.  However, Islamic opinions are so different (even amongst the 90% majority Sunnis), that the "real" Muslims (whoever they are, if they are ever identified) would likely be a minority.

Will real Islam please stand up?   I'd love them to get to the bottom of it so we can move on and finally tell the proven non-believers rest that they have been on the wrong horse for the last 1400 years...and so that we can decide whether it is "real" Islam or the phony Islam that is compliant or not with the world around it.
