Just heard on the news that the massive downturn in mining revenues could bring Australia into a recession. Western Australia is apparently a basket case with the highest unemployment in 13 years.
In just two years the country has gone backwards while the USA, UK is improving.
Two years of Abbott/Hockey has sent us into a potential abyss and its no wonder both were dumped from their respective positions.
The task for Turnbull is a difficult one and given the undermining/sniping coming from the former Abbott camp it would not surprise me that if the sniping continued and the economy continued to erode, Labor would make a comeback, notwithstanding a currently unpopular Opposition leader. By March we should have a good idea if the political wheel is about to turn.
