A stop-loss strategy is essential, so it's great you're using one. I usually use technical levels as stops, rather than a fixed percentage, but that approach has handed me some eye-watering losses where my position sizing and stop-loss level were out of whack. If you have a method that works for you, stick with it. Occasional losses are a cost of business.
