    Thanks @shovel40, @Fiji1, @Patterns and morning crew.

    Half-time wrap:

The share market pushed for its best weekly return in at least five months as a rebound in commodity prices overnight helped lift resource stocks.

The ASX 200 rallied 79 points or 1.07% by mid-session towards a sixth straight advance. The advance extended the index's gain for the week to 261 points, matching a 261-point surge in the second week of July.

The materials and energy sectors set the pace as commodity prices benefitted from pressure on the greenback as traders look ahead to US rate cuts next year. Oil and metals rose overnight. Copper had one of its best sessions this year. Gold rallied back towards record levels.

Overnight, US stocks overcame a mid-session wobble to advance to new 2023 highs. The S&P 500 put on 0.26%. The Dow rose 0.43% to a record close.

Personal trading: Couple of solid profits to end the week. NHE from 11.25c and KRR from 1.1c.
