I've only just read this.
I think it's brilliant that the RBA considered raising rates. They are still too low. And it shows they are independent.
Maybe this warning is enough of a shot over the bow to make companies and landlords stop gouging consumers.
I don't even have to bring up inflation anymore when I talk to people.
They bring it up. A lot of them just cant afford to go out anymore.
I kind of skipped through 88 and 89. I had no debt and I was receiving 12% for a term deposit.
But this is the worst I've seen. The GFC was a walk in the park.
