Half-time round-up: ASX Update: Market sinks 2.4%; spec stocks smashed

In this report:

• ASX 200 sinks more than 200 points
• Going up: Sezzle, Codan, Myer, A2M, BLU
• Going down: banks, Block, FMG, Beach, Accent Group
• US futures slide 1 per cent

Personal trading: What a morning. Buying some of the most beaten-up specs for what I anticipate (is that another word for "hope", lol?) will be a bounce on Thursday. No guarantees it will pay off, but this looks overdone. AZL, 1MC, WIN and SPN. Mind you, I wouldn't be unhappy to lighten up into any bounce before the close. Gulp.
