    The main differences are:
    1) rarely have a greater than 10% high/low gap in the day (5% is fine)... your 30% gains can happen but will generally take time and timing
    2) they are very liquid so you will rarely get stuck holding a "dog" forever
    3) easy to borrow to buy
    4) Dividends!!!
    5) They generally recover well from downturns (like Covid) and rarely have 3 bad days in a row
