Half-time wrap:
Australian shares reversed yesterday's loss after this year's Wall Street rally broadened overnight as investors rotated from tech high-flyers to laggards.
The ASX 200 rebounded 64 points or 0.82% by mid-session. Property investment trusts, energy producers, consumer stocks and banks led a charge that lifted all sectors.
The Dow climbed 0.67% overnight to a four-week high as funds flowed from chip stocks to sectors that have fared less well this year. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq eased as Nvidia dived more than 6%, entering correction territory just three sessions after last week's record close.
Personal trading: Slender part-fill in SPX at centrepoint. Took RED at what looks like possible horizontal support. CCX showing welcome signs of recovery. Might get out of jail on that one.
