@STP16 , when conditions are this wild, I'm pretty loose with stop losses, at least until things slow down. I'm more likely to buy more at a lower level than sell. Just to be clear, that's an intraday strategy, not investment advice, and applies only when markets are tanking. For example, I bought Aristocrat (ALL) too early at $22.20 during the initial spiral, then bought again roughly a dollar cheaper and sold the lot into the up-spike. That approach has worked okay today but sometimes compounds losses. Key thing in this market is not to hold losses overnight unless overseas markets are giving very strong hints of a reversal.
