- Further measures to be taken for returning Australians
- All arrivals to be quarantined in hotels for 2 weeks mandatory isolation.
- Isolation to occur in state of arrival - not state of residence. (you land in Sydney, you isolate in Sydney)
- Australian defense force to assist State Police with enforcing isolation's
- Enforcement agency is the relevant Police force in each state.
---- Economy
- Businesses may need to go into hibernation.
- A hibernation package to be released at a later date.
- Instead of closing, Australian Govt, would prefer hibernation over closure of businesses.
- Ensure that businesses are able to open at the end of this time

Dr Brian Murphy.
- 3000 cases in Australia. Worried about the growth of new cases.
- Single most important thing we can do is stop transmission from overseas travelers.
- Community transmission still ongoing with Sydney having the highest rate.
- Work from home where possible, Practice social isolation.
- Australians to be commended for their practices to date.

Question Time - Answers :
- 7120 arrivals yesterday - an indication of isolation cases per day.
- It will become increasingly difficult to return home after travels - Boarders are expected to close.
- Cost of isolation for returned travelers to be absorbed by states and territories.
- States and territories now to determine schools open/shut - not holistically by the Commonwealth government.
- Schools to stay open in order to facilitate essential workers to attend work.
