Personal trading: Congrats to those who bought yesterday and are reaping the benefits. I took the safe option, which is another way of saying I didn't hold overnight and made nothing today. After all these years I have yet to come up with a reliable strategy for these big rebound days. This one looks like the real deal: the index has built steadily since the open, so buying early should have paid off. But that's not always the case. Big opens often get sold into by the pros, and there's the conundrum. I waited for pullbacks that didn't come. I strongly suspect there will be other opportunities in the weeks ahead.
