What I have learnt from 2008 is that people WILL kill the golden goose. The government will let it happen, so will the regulators, investors, the media and the companies. History is full of examples where people were willing to kill the golden goose but in 2008 any doubt should be gone. Paul Keating was so right about " The recession we had to have " Allen Greenspan was so right " I did not believe they would be silly enough to kill the golden goose".
