The share market kept on track for a third straight weekly advance after the Dow added to its longest win streak since December.
The ASX 200 climbed 33 points or 0.43% towards its sixth gain in seven sessions. Gold miners, energy producers and telcos led the rally. Tech stocks and utilities dragged.
US stocks pushed back within touching distance of record levels overnight as soft benefits data added to recent signs that higher interest rates are having an impact, clearing the way for cuts. The Dow rose 0.85% to a seventh straight gain. The broader S&P 500 added 0.51%
