Thanks @shovel40, @Fiji1, @Patterns and morning crew.
Half-time wrap:
Resource stocks kept the share market near break-even despite declines on Wall Street ahead of the US Thanksgiving break.
The ASX 200 eased two points or 0.03% by mid-session. Gold miner Newmont climbed 2.13% after the yellow metal regained US$2,000 an ounce. BHP and Rio Tinto advanced after iron ore prices reached their highest in China in a year. CSL gained 1.11%.
The November rally on Wall Street stalled overnight as soft housing data and downbeat trading updates from retailers offered a reminder of the impact rate hikes were having on the economy. The S&P 500 dipped 0.2%.
Tonight brings the last full session of the US trading week. The market will close for Thanksgiving on Thursday and only reopen for a thinly-traded morning session on Friday.
Personal trading: Scraped a few coins from BML. None of my other fishing lines got a tickle.
