    I'm aware of the term, but often regard it as meaningless and purely coincidental if something happens in the future.

    Gotten stuck in enough 'smokey' stocks back in the day to know better than to ever buy into one again.

    FAU was 'smokey' a week ago.. And the week before that... and so on... The volumes today are pretty insignificant.
