    Thanks @shovel40, @Fiji1, @uncleBuck, @JohnI and morning crew.

    Half-time wrap:

Mining stocks helped steer the Aussie market to a near two-week high following a strong night for US miners in the uranium, gold and lithium sectors.

The ASX 200 rallied 16 points or 0.18% by mid-session. The index touched its strongest level since September 3 before paring its advance.
A fresh high for gold helped lift the domestic gold sub-sector 0.54%. Deep Yellow and Boss Energy gained at least 6.2% after the US Energy Secretary called for greater domestic uranium production to reduce the US's reliance on imported Russian enriched uranium.
Mineral Resources and Liontown Resources advanced at least 3% after a fund of US miners hit a 20-month high.
Big Tech helped the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite close at records overnight. The S&P 500 advanced 0.47%. The Nasdaq popped 0.94%.

Personal trading: Got a 'Get Out of Jail' card from THR and accepted that gratefully for a nice return. Also exited RIM from yesterday for a skinny profit. Scalped NMR off the low.
