the KYC process is at account set up, not necessarily at transaction. It takes 3-5 mins. After the initial set up transactions are instantaneous.
I just went through APTs set up to see how long it takes. it was a little bit over 10 mins including login, so very limited difference.
now I have afterpay i can go and get a tattoo and same baby formula. actually the baby formula can wait.
