    Buffett/Berkshire doesn't pay dividends to its investors, but he/Berkshire receives plenty of dividends from his investments. Coke has paid Berkshire billions in dividends. Berkshire is, in effect, a capital allocation company so it makes sense for them to not pay dividends if they think they can allocate the capital better than their shareholders (which is more than likely correct). However, the analogy doesn't apply across the board.
