Yeh not across the board HoDog but whether it be Alphabet with multiple group companies beyond Google search, Amazon with eCom and AWS etc or most tech companies pursuing the gorilla game of re-investing cash and gross margin contribution to capture growth ahead of the curve and forsake profits, they really are hardly motivated to even consider dividends except for fund/index inclusion.
Afterpay has a competitive landscape to reinvest in, new geographies to activate and new products to launch. After that they also have venture funds etc. I can't see them being interested in dividends with these kind of fintech high margin opportunities ahead of them. It's not like they are operating on utilities or High Street retail/grocery level of margins.
