Yeah people underestimate change in society.
they only see how things were and are now but don't think about what tomorrow could be like.
even if you provide a good case they will shake their head in disbelief.
Its because people don't like change but at the same time they want more money. Well........if you do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.
