It's funny isn't it. Non holders with a sentiment of sell (each to their own, that is fine) coming onto forums and 'educating' holders as to why their valuation metric (which is totally opinion based - because, guess what - that is the whole basis of the sharemarket) 'must' be correct and how the price is out of whack because of P/E, losses, bad debts or whatever.
My gut feel is it is getting to the top end of the current price cycle, but I thought that at ~$11-$12, then again around $25, then $35 and so on. I'll continue to hold because I think there is so much more APT can (and will eventually) be doing (and charging for) in the future.
EBITDA is basically irrelevant for tech companies in a growth phase. It doesn't remain irrelevant forever - but the market is very forgiving of earnings if the growth is obvious. What Afterpay need to do next (similar to what Facebook did, and I know they are very, very different companies) is work out a way to monetise their product (the consumer is their product). Data, advertising - and probably many other things that someone smarter than me will think up are all on the table - and the extra cost of turning these to revenue will be minimal as they already have the 'product' to sell.
