a SaaS firm will be generating higher margins obviously than a Bnpl listed firm. To get closer to profits all Bnpl will need to really scale up their transaction numbers so operating costs can can shared across a larger volume .. finding higher profit transaction-albeit lower margins is the key imho... as it’s able to capture greater share of wallet of a consumer beyond discretionary spending.
only two companies are doing that currently. And of all the Bnpl companies out there it’s Klarna that’s one of the two that’s been profitable.

here’s a question for everyone. Klarna was founded before Afterpay and zip.
they started with pay in 4 just like afterpayandquadpayhave. But they then moved into capturing everyday spending transactions.
assuming the ceo of Klarna saw all that data in front of him, why did he then decide to be better and bigger they needed greater scale of transactions.
the only other Bnpl I’m seeing doing this isZip

do people on here honestly think they are in a better position to determine if this strategy adds value compared to the ceosrunning these billion dollar firms? I’m not. And I’m a vet, I’m not stupid.
I see Klarna as being the only firm that’s able to show profit (so far) I see an over valued APT stock that is deciding to try get enough scale in their business to be profitable yeah.....
but can’t the ceos of apt see that Klarna are doing 3x the TTV and transactions of Afterpay and where that’s headed?
so we are assuming here that the ceo of Klarna andZip have got their strategies wrong and the ceos of Afterpay are the ones that have the best strategy. Even though Klarna was where Afterpay was, but 3 years ago

Klarna works as a neobank with BNPL function in US and EU.

If you try to use the Klarna APP, you will understand why Afterpay is crushing Klarna in every single market.Klarna app is outdated and too difficult to use,the only better is Klarna charged a smaller fees at about 2.5% and had a larger credit limit.
