    Remember the people who sold out just before Tencent suddenly invested... eBay might even partner with Afterpay globally in return for a position in company... I'm speculating but based off the Super positive eBay Australia CEO comments on Afterpay, it's quite possible. As you say, they need a way to differentiate nicely from Amazon and great payment methods is a way. it's also ideal for the small retailers on eBay to get exposure to the global customer via the cross country Afterpay selling ability. Find it on eBay then shop directly after....
