"It needs cash to turn the lights on."

As at 30 June 2019, Afterpay had cash of $231m and receivables warehouse funding lines of $947m which had drawings of zero. These facilities had available limits of $379m (they are limited by the amount of receivables Afterpay has available as collateral). This meant the company had available liquidity of $610m. This is clearly not a company that is running out of cash to turn on the lights.

"They invested caz APT is desperate."

If you had done even a passing amount of research you would know that Coatue actually approached Afterpay (not the other way round). The money they have invested will be earmarked for expansion into new geographies. At the same time Coatue (who are global data analytics experts), will partner with Afterpay to assist the company in developing new business lines utilising the enormous amount of purchasing behaviour data it has on its customers. As an Afterpay shareholder, for me this was the most exciting piece of news to come out of the updates on Wednesday (and there was a lot of other very positive stuff in there). IMO the share price movement we saw on Thursday and Friday (+12% across 2 days), was the market also starting to recognise the incredible amount of value which could potentially be unlocked from this partnership.

"This will end badly imo, high PE always does"

This is clearly a nonsensical statement (although at least with this one, you have conceded that it is just your opinion). You could start by asking someone who has held shares in CSL for the last 10 years how their high PE investment is going?

It's fine to come onto a forum like this and offer up your opinion (as misguided as it may be), but please refrain from trying to pass off blatant mistruths as facts.
