PayPal can't disrupt Afterpay in the same way that the big banks couldn't stop PayPal disrupting them as it grew. I'm sure there were articles about how big banks would kill PayPal or its margins.

You can't disrupt yourself once you're too big and set in your ways unless you do extreme innovation suddenly like Apple did with ipod and iPhone...

PayPal is clunky, expensive, and isn't customer focused at all. I dumped it before I even saw it as competition to Afterpay. it was just a crap app
