afterpay is free service for the customers for the full 42 days (or 56 days if pulse rewards member) of the contract period for each purchase. (with the exception of late fees)
get it through you head goppy,, there is no need to make an average of free days as it the same for each purchase regardless of the purchases date, and does not incur a fee for the duration of the contract.
ie, if i make a purchase with APT I know without question its providing me with a free service for 42 days for that purchases (nothing less!) and 56 days if pulse member.
zip on the other hand has a static date to charge an account keeping fee at the end of each month and therfore depending on the date of purchases requires an average to detail the length of its free service.
ie if I make a purchases with zip on the 1st of the month the free period will be different should i make the purchases on the 25tth of the month.
