I think you fail to understand that in the end it is about expected future profit. And you need a lot of sustainable profit to be a $30 billion company. This means you have to be able to get that profit and not have competitors come and reduce the margins and take market share.

Your upramping at its peak shows you are young and inexperienced and so far have been wrong.
number of customers as a key metric? I can list the number of fintech companies that boasted growing customer numbers but then failed but it would take way too long.
