this is kind of indicative of cheap food availability i think.
the world is awash with grain, prices are very ordinary (or great if you're a poor, hungry indian). why would the indian government subsidise their domestic food producers?
what happens once food prices rise again might be interesting.
my guess, short term bearish fert stocks, medium-long term insignificant. this move if implemented with any conviction (i have some doubts) will merely encourage food production, and fert consumption, offshore.
