I think the tide will turn very quickly on public opinion, especially in the capital cities. Electricity prices are set to rise 16% due to the carbon tax, plus the usual CPI increases - a total of at least 20% this year. The media will be all over this issue. Then with gas prices set to sky rocket you can imagine how public sentiment will turn.
