As others have noted on this site, DOW goes down and yet WOW still makes a modest gain. Rival WES may live to regret their giant debt burden from the Coles purchase and continue to slide in these credit wary times. Any investor, at any level, venturing back into the marketplace looking for a safe return must give WOW a long hard look.
Strong Woolies sales figures at the end of the month might just see the WOW/WES gap widen further.
