The distance from the coast is an important point (aside from the others for a moment).
Forgetting the geography and other points for the moment, Garet Dixon gave the example of the Karara 1.4b t magnetite resource being the equivalent of a 570 mt hematite mine that was 5-600ks from the coast using a railway in place.
SDL's deposits are over 400ks from the coast with no railway whatsoever present.
On that basis, SDL's current 218mt 'suggested' hematite resource is approx. 1/5 the equivalent of Karara's 2.5bt 'suggested' resource converted to a hematite equivalent.
