In hindsight, is doesn't surprise me at all that a site like African oil intelligence where you have to pay per article or subscribe would post such an article. Since pretty much all you can read is "Ophir in quest for funding" suddenly the punters involved are scrambling to find out why, so you pay your $5 and then realise it's not much more than speculative drivel.
Interesting your point about the pirates. Ophir has an aggressive exploration strategy but they're not stupid. There seem to be many logical reasons why they divested away from Tanzania. Also means more money for the west coast and hopefully Senegal
