Maybe working till 70 will be OK if we are given government jobs of some kind. As it is I believe that probably 50% of those jobs aren't essential so why not just raise that percentage? Will be more expensive vs paying dole or pension but will be good for GDP. Of course culling the government jobs by that 50% or whatever will be cheaper as dole - pension rates are lower but GDP will suffer. ....IMO
