You may be right but there are always local factors. And we have one. Whether its significant, don't know at this stage. Anyway, less than a week, all will be revealed.
For U stocks, the decline in ASX has been slightly more than US stocks, but not very significant. Couple of weeks back I posted the numbers for Lithium in other threads. Since April, ASX Li stocks had average decline of 43% where as US Li stocks in that period had decline by 13%. So there the numbers were significant.
