Not only has Takahama's Mayor given the approval to restart reactors 1 and 2 at the Kansai Electric Power Co, which are both over 40 years old, Japan's energy minister stated today that nuclear power is essential for Japan to meet their net zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
Japan restarting their reactors was Rick Rule's no.1 barometer for the uranium sector. Even he now acknowledges that uranium no longer needs Japan restarts for the sector to start moving, but all signs are pointing to the Japan factor coming into play anyway. And it's huge news.
