Now a pause - which way will it go?

Yes AGE lost 3 pips to finish at 3.7c. Our volume was higher than usual, just over 19m shares traded. So we broke the lower level of 3.8 but are within touching distance. Last few days trading has shown that someone with decent volume is getting out. Hopefully markets turn overnight and we get back to 4s
.
ASX U stocks were generally flat or slightly weak, but some smaller stocks made some gains. Of the 28 stocks that I track, average gain was 0.5%

Overnight US U stocks were relatively flat but the ETFs again lost between 1 to 2%. U Future lost 5c to finish at $51.70

What next:

Yesterday SP 500 was relatively flat , finishing at 3991. ASX though had a slightly bigger decline and lost around 0.4%

So yesterday SP 500 after going up and down finished at nearly same level, but still below the psychological level of 4000. FOMC minutes could not provide enough fodder for the bears or bulls.

So which way will market go now? Lot of indicators are pointing towards a bounce tonight, the size is not known. There is a very good chance it could be sideways to up based on technical indicators. But tomorrow is PCE data - so anything technical today may be short lived for today and tomorrow PCE may provide direction.

Lead indicators nothing dramatic but they are not giving indications of he big fall - at least for the immediate. This pause/slight drop is also giving indications of a possible rise tonight. VIX and Yields both fell slightly while Dollar Index no major direction.

So what will happen tonight? US Futures in slight green. Asian markets were mixed but more on red side. Sometime back I had written that Bitcoin has to go above 25k to keep the bullish pattern. That didn't happen. Since then its wavering and not providing clear direction. But after losing 24k it has regained it back - at around 24.5k now - so they are also indicating as of now no major red tonight. GDP data tonight along with earnings - they may provide direction, but not sure it will be strong. Lot of indicators pointing towards a green tonight, but it will only be good if we cross some major levels - eg at least get to 4070. Will that happen? Lets hope so. All the best.
