@MovingAverage... thank you for your comprehensive and thorough analysis. On the basis of your valuable opinion, I have bitten the bullet and sold the entire holdings of AGI in my SMSF. I suffered a significant loss, but it was death by a thousand cuts anyway. I am consoled by the fact that even though I can’t claim a capital loss in my SMSF, I have been the recipient of some excellent gains recently in the form of CSL and BVS. Continuing to hold AGI was “a game of chance” and even though the loss was significant, it was time to move on and your excellent post was the catalyst. Thanks.
