ALL made same incredibly transformational acquisitions under Jamie Odell that really set the platform for ALL's massive growth. Under Odell they were a relatively early mover in the online social space with the acquisition of Product Madness (which I hear they got at a bargain price) and their other key earlier acquisition was VGT--man, that VGT business has been an absolute cash cow for ALL and has funded a lot of growth and expansion for ALL. But what really counts here is that while the businesses ALL have purchased are relatively healthy from a balance sheet perspective, ALL have had in place the right high caliber executive and management teams to really propel the business in the right long term sustainable direction. And of course the new CEO over at ALL is continuing Odell's legacy with some smart recent acquisitions. What is really telling to me is that AGI purchased a class 2 business a few years back and what has the executive and management done to grow that business??? I might be wrong here but I'll put $500 on the fact that AGI's class 2 business has declined since they acquired it. It is chalk and cheese--just look at what the executive and management teams have done at ALL to massively grow their class 2 business since they purchased it. Those that are naive to the gaming business will probably think that ALL's success has all been down to the one game called Lightning Link and all AGI needs to do is just get that "one killer game". Sure this game has certainly helped ALL but make no mistake ALL's success is all down to having a high caliber executive and management teams that know how to develop and execute serious long term strategic commercial strategies to grow and expand the company as well as ring out every bit of long term value from their current opportunities. Like I said, even if by some chance AGI has an opportunity to come back in the near future then the current executive team, board and management will cock it up much like they did during their golden period of 2011-2013. I don't care who you are, but a CEO alone is not capable of developing and executing the type of serious strategies that AGI will need to turn themselves around. With companies on their knees like AGI the new CEO better have in place a high caliber executive and management team around him. Here we are almost 6 months in to the new CEO and it appears he has made no serious new appointments nor has he articulated a clear vision for the company going forward. I wonder if anyone here is going to their upcoming AGM as I'd love to get some feedback
