Your government is still one of the saviest in the world, regarding energy and use of coal, which is in reality not only the cheapest but one of the most nature friendly sources of energy - if one takes a look at real burden for nature for a unit of stable non intermittent energy, there would be shocked to see how much more damage to enviromnent than coal, so called "green sources" cause to environment -hint: one has to take a look land use per unit of realible energy - even the last phase - power plant itself is obvious (hydro power plant. Destroys the whole river and subriver ecosystem etc) but when one counts also environmental direct and opportunity costs of earlier and later phases (production and decomposition od solar panels and wind turbines etc) coal power plants are even few more times better for the environment!
