Actually the opposite is true. The fundamentals are already there. It is an electricity producer using legacy cheap technology everyone had no issue with for the past 100 years until the green crowd came in and demanded attention.
The issue is with sentiment and once it moves into the more socially acceptable electricity generation, it'll be alright.
Similarly in 100 year's time when nuclear power is ripe, people will throw out the polluting used solar panels doped with nasty stuff like lead, cadmium etc. The hero of today will be the pariah of tomorrow.
