Just another question . what would happen if she just refused to pay the bill . she has now signed up with dodo energy and has since terminated her contract with agl but do agl still have the authority to turn her power off if she is non compliant with paying the bill . I did some further research into the policy of conduct on debt collection agencies such as panthers finance and it states they can only contact her 10 times within a month between stipulated hours and they don't have the authority to garnish any centre link payments she might receive or deduct any proceeds from her bank account , sell the car and other goods etc to fund the debt . any advice appreciated thanks . also if she requests a copy of the bill in question and 12 months of credit card deduction statements be posted out do you think agl would agree to this . after all the bill is 14 months old which raises suspicion and I think it is beholdent on them to provide evidence of non payment to the consumer.
