I think you are underselling what the language used, in respect to investor sentiment means for the likely demand for these stocks.
After all, at some point, these markets are supply demand driven.
Yes, the green outlook is one that needs to evolve, and truly become a viable, sustainable, long term solution to the future, and I understand all of that, but for the majority of investors who are looking at companies that have a future, the more an AGL is not involved in these solutions, the less likely they look to have a certain future (even if us more learned investors see it differently).
When push comes to shove, the investor sentiment is demand driven. If the Demand for an "electric elephant" is seen to be compromised, guess what happens to their shares?
