Actually read the article in more detail.
"at less than 5 percent premium to AGL's shares last close" so pretty much a low-ballish offer. Not very impressed if that is the case. Would not move the share price much if not in trading halt on Monday, and I'd be surprised to see the board recommend the offer and their reasoning. Does not at first thought appear to realise value for long term holders by paying a sufficient premium.
