The term woke is related to the fact we have had a reliable cheap base load energy in place that has served the nation well and could continually do so with investment re coal and Gas that the country has an abundance replacing with so called green energy solar panels / wind turbines etc that will continually need replacing without thought to the mining of these materials waste what to do with them when lifecycle over. I could go on but pointless and no offence degree's doesnt make a person Smart as a Police Uniform make you a good person, so if you are resting intelligence on a degree youve been sold a lemon.
